Torres Altos Ibericos Crianza Rioja is a traditional earthy tempranillo from the famed northern Spanish region of Rioja. It is medium bodied, loaded with dark berry fruit, loam, and a bit of graphite. It is wonderful with many tapas dishes, from seafood or chicken paella to roast pork loin or grilled rabbit with tomato and green olives. But - as a classic pairing in Spain, it sings with Manchego cheese and the Purmeil deeply-flavored amber honey.
This Manchego cheese is made from raw sheep's milk and is aged over several months before its release. Buttery, tangy, salty, and nutty, it is a signature of Spanish cuisine and pairs remarkably well with red wines, especially the Tempranillo and Mencia grapes of Spain.
Includes: Multigrain crackers and grapes.
